Environmental Assessment ‘Screening’ Process?

• The initial meeting has taken place with the M.O.E. (Ministry of the Environment)


• REM has begun the Environmental Assessment "Screening" process.


• Notice of Commencement has been issued.


• The 1st Public Information "Open House" has been conducted - Wednesday January 13th, 2010.


• All current Public Notices have been posted in the Media section


• Notice of the Public Liaison Committee – Terms of Reference for Appointment documents are now posted on the site in the Community page


• All of the appropriate "site" reports and studies are being completed and will be presented at the 2nd Public Information "Open House"


• The Environmental Screening Process is expected to be completed by the end of May, 2011


• MOE Permitting Approval is expected for the early fall of 2011.
